WHAT IS SUMMER OF RESISTANCE?
A coalition of unions, immigration justice organizations, and a few progressive City Council members have joined together for a 30-day rapid response plan to resist and de-escalate tension caused by Trump’s assault on LA immigrant communities and take back the national narrative (that focuses on scrutinizing protests) to focus on the families that are being ripped apart by ICE raids.
Different organizations are “adopting” each day, and our tactics will rely on time-tested actions by historical non-violent movements: fasting, prayer vigils, community arts (poetry, dance, music, theatre etc.), advocacy, and community education in open and visible spaces.

WHO CAN JOIN US? Wear your clergy attire or CLUE shirts, and bring your spirit, solidarity and passion for immigrant justice into this sacred space!
Solidarity is Sacred
Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice educates, organizes, and mobilizes faith leaders and community members to walk with workers and immigrants in their struggles for good jobs, safe workplaces, and healthy communities.
We can accompany low-wage workers—mostly immigrants and communities of color—because people like you support an organized, connected interfaith movement for economic justice.
Please join the movement to build an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top.
