This Monday, Sofitel Housekeepers will be “Invisible No More”

CLUE and the hotel union are teaming up to co-host a panel featuring Council member Paul Koretz and international union leaders in support of West LA Sofitel Hotel’s workers.

Hospitality workers at Sofitel have faced unjust work conditions for years. Since April, they’ve been publicly fighting to unionize with UNITE HERE Local 11 despite intimidation tactics from their employer. We at CLUE want to support workers holistically, creating a safe space for stories to be lifted up into the sacred place where they belong.

In just a few days, West LA community members, clergy leaders, and workers will be coming together in solidarity at Temple Emanuel Beverly Hills. The panel discussion will focus on the ongoing struggle for justice and respect at Sofitel. Community members will hear directly from workers and leaders.

This is a fast-paced campaign, and it’s at a critical moment. We’re excited for this opportunity to have West LA community come together to ask that hospitality workers be treated with dignity.
