Clergy, Workers Seek Justice At Holiday Inn LAX

    Faith leaders joined in solidarity with Holiday Inn LAX Hotel workers this Than ksgiving season by speaking to Hotel Management and in joining worker Nico who has been recently released from work by the hotel unfairly. Sacred Space: A Reflection on the Black Friday Walmart Strike

  CLUE-LA joined Walmart workers and organizers on Black Friday as they went out on strike in Paramount. Clergy came together to bless the strikers. Some joined neighbors and workers in performing civil disobedience. 9 people were arrested performing civil disobedience at the Paramount Walmart. Damavandi Family Clams Up; CLUE-LA Reaches Out

In recognition of Rosh Hashanah, local rabbis and Jewish leaders supported by the interfaith clergy and community visited the Damavandi family, owners of Santa Monica Carwash, on Thursday, Sept. 13th for a faith rooted action.  The Damavandi Family received a lawsuit filed by workers on the grounds of wage and rest break violations in May.

Tell Fresh And Easy To Stop Endangering Youth!

Teens are using self-checkout registers to buy alcohol from grocery stores, and Fresh & Easy is okay with that. In 2011, Assemblywoman Fiona Ma (D-San Francisco) authored AB 183, which banned alcohol purchases at self-checkout machines.
